    Quran's Mistakes

There are many errors in the Quran; many, many, many errors in the Quran. And I say that from
a ten-feet view point. For instance, when the Quran said that the earth was flat, that was a mistake.

People of the Book

Q15. Host: The Quran mentions the people of the Book, who are the people of the Book? (1:48)

Dr. Labib: The people of the book? People of the book, according to the Quran, are the Jews and the Christians. You know, and when you read the Quran, you will see that the Quran has two stages. When Mohammed was at Mecca, in the beginning of his religion, and then when he migrated to Medina. When he was at Mecca, he was weak, and because of that you see many revelations in the Quran, that will praise Christians and Jews. When he migrated to Medina, and he had a strong army, he destroyed the Jews in Medina, he destroyed the Christians, and that was the end of the story. That was, I think, as one of his relatives had said, when they saw the army of the sand coming to Mecca, at the end of the life of Mohammed, someone was standing there and said, "Look at the prophethood of Mohammed." And his relatives said, "He is really a genius, but prophethood, I doubt it!" That was that, you see.So when we read in history, and we'll be fair with history, we will see that Islam is not a divine religion. The only satisfaction anybody could find is in Jesus Christ and in him alone.

1- The Quran At-Taubah 9:29-30

YUSUFALI: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
PICKTHAL: Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.
SHAKIR: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

YUSUFALI: The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!
PICKTHAL: And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!
SHAKIR: And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

2- The Quran: Al-Baqara 2:193

YUSUFALI: And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression.
PICKTHAL: And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrong-doers.
SHAKIR: And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors.

3- The Quran: Al-Anfal 8:12-14

YUSUFALI: Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."
PICKTHAL: When thy Lord inspired the angels, (saying): I am with you. So make those who believe stand firm. I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger.
SHAKIR: When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.

YUSUFALI: This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger: If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment.
PICKTHAL: That is because they opposed Allah and His messenger. Whoso opposeth Allah and His messenger, (for him) lo! Allah is severe in punishment.
SHAKIR: This is because they acted adversely to Allah and His Messenger; and whoever acts adversely to Allah and His Messenger-- then surely Allah is severe in requiting (evil).

YUSUFALI: Thus (will it be said): "Taste ye then of the (punishment): for those who resist Allah, is the penalty of the Fire."
PICKTHAL: That (is the award), so taste it, and (know) that for disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.
SHAKIR: This-- taste it, and (know) that for the unbelievers is the chastisement of fire.

Nick I understand where you are coming from when I was 16-20 I tried to reject what I had learned from the bible taking a position of being agnostic. I was challenged to try and prove the disciples wrong prove what they saw Jesus crucified buried resurrected and then assenting into heaven. witnessing Jesus fulfilling ALL the prophesies from the old testament, I was challenged to prove what these early believers witnessed was not real. I was overwhelmed that these early believers in Christ were willing to be killed burned alive tortured and even crucified upside-down for what they saw.
so today I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

The more you study the 'Noble Qur'an', the more you begin to wonder if it is Muhammad following 'Allah's' commands or the other way around, or perhaps a bit of both.

You just have to ponder the following two snippets - that according to the Qur'an, ' .... Allah is the best/greatest of deceivers' - I thought God was about TRUTH and that it was Satan who was into deception.

Even Muhammad's closest companion feared the deception of 'Allah' - Abu Bakr, though promised paradise by Allah and his apostle, while weeping says, "By Allah! I would not feel safe from the deception (same Arabic word) of Allah, even if I had one foot in paradise."

The testimony of Abu Bakr is consistent with the Qur'an which tells Muslims that they should not feel secure against the Makr or deception of Allah.

No wonder we are often faced with dualistic 'reasoning' and much abrogation in the Qur'an, Sunnah and Hadith.

hi, i'm a fourteen year old,and i am proud to say that I don't have a religion. I don't have a religion because i think i should live my life while i have one. I think that if there is a god, he wouldn't want you wasting your life worshiping him and talking crap about muslims. I think christianity or any major religion or belief is great because it gives people hope, so they don't think that they are gonna wind up rotting in a coffin. I'm not too fond of mormans, though. Seriously, look up morman beliefs. they do some weird stuff... Thanks (P.S., please don't hate me.)
